Ph.D. (c) Desirée Viteri Almeida is the Project Manager & Director of the Department of Multimedia, Creativity, and Social Media at Health Facts Now. She studied Diplomacy and International Relations at the International University of Ecuador and obtained the degree of Internationalist. Later, she studied Political Science and Government and obtained the title of Political Scientist and was the best graduate of her class. She also completed a Master in Political Analysis and Institutional Advisory at the University of Barcelona.
Currently, she is a Ph.D. Candidate in Law and Political Science, specifically in the area of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences. Her work has focused on issues related to human rights (gender equality, education, peace, justice, migration, health, social disparities, among others). She has conducted different research activities about violence against women, female empowerment, the rights of women and girls, gender-based violence, among others.
Health Facts Now has the privilege of having Dr. Jhonatan Rivera-Mora as its Director of the Medical Department. He was born in Quito, Ecuador into a Christian missionary family. He completed his doctorate in Medicine at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico, in June 2019. In July 2019, Dr. Rivera-Mora began working for Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts as a postdoctoral researcher in the division of Endocrinology, Hypertension, and Diabetes. In this position, he also holds an appointment as a postdoctoral researcher for Harvard Medical School under the auspices of the National Institute of Health (NIH), Dr. Rivera-Mora participates in research activities for the management of diseases such as hypertension. In this scenario, Dr. Rivera-Mora shares time and knowledge with some of the most recognized scientists and doctors in the world in their respective fields.
Doctor Rivera is the Director of the Department of Spiritual Care at Health Facts Now. He has a Doctorate in Educational Research from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, Ecuador. He graduated from MDiv at Andrews University in Michigan. He completed his Clinical Residency at Rubí Hospital in West Virginia. His Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Theology at CORPUA in Medellín, Colombia. Doctor Rivera has had the privilege of serving in his area of spiritual care in different capacities in Ecuador for more than 15 years, where he also acted as principal of the Gedeon School, as well as Director of Educational Projects in his native country, Ecuador. He was invited as a Lecturer and later appointed as Manager of IDEASI (Institute for Educational Development and Comprehensive Health Advice), where he carried out various initiatives focused on the personal and professional development of directors of educational institutions, teachers, and students in collaboration with the Department of Education of Puerto Rico. Later, he had the privilege of serving as a Chaplain in the United States Army. Currently, he serves in Massachusetts and Connecticut in the hospice system. He has focused on the development and promotion of talents, motivation, self-help, and health care in general. His passion is to promote the humans well-being, and their overall health of individuals to help them to reach their full potential in the pursuit of their goals.
Health Facts Now has the privilege to count with Ph.D (c) Mirian Ruth Mora as the CEO, Dir of Mental Health Department & Counselor for families, children, young and adults. She has a Magister in Mental Health/Social Work from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, in addition to a Magister in Education and Curriculum from Antillean College in Puerto Rico. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Education at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, Ecuador. She graduated from Business Administration at CORPUA in Medellin, Colombia. She completed his Clinical Residency in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mirian has had the privilege of serving as Clinician, Behavioral Analyst, Counselor, Couch and Chaplain of Gedeón College, as well as Author or Educational Projects in MI. She was appointed as Lecturer of IDEASI (Institute for Educational Development Comprehensive Health Advice), where she had the opportunity to lead workshops directed to school principals, teachers, parents and students in collaboration with the Department of Education of Puerto Rico. Later, she has served in the Holyoke and Springfield Public School system as Clinician, where she has had the privilege of promoting children/youth and their families mental and emotional well-being. Currently, she works as Counselor in the Health area in Massachusetts. Her passion is to promote clients well-being, emotional and mental health to fulfill their purpose in life.
Eng. Mary Lascano is our IT Manager. Mary has earned an engineering degree in Networking and Electronic at North Technical University in 2011. After her graduation she has been able to continue managing different learning platforms, which allowed her to stay updated in her field of studies. Also, Mary is passionate about expanding and sharing her knowledge in the Graphic Design field. Currently, she teaches Graphic Design at Golden Bridge College in California while she owns and manages Kanolas.com and loveysalud.org where she also plan to share her passion for helping people around the world.
